(I can relate.) The filmmaking may be a little rough in spots, but, for a debut film, most of it feels very assured, which I believe is largely due to Baumbach’s skill in capturing how people truly speak.
Baumbach’s characters talk a lot about what they’re going to do in the future, but they don’t do anything to make their dreams happen.
